distribution upgrade from kinetic to lunar result in errors

Bug Description

i just did a distro upgrade and got errors that it couldn't install the kernel and its headers and now running lunar with the kernel of kinetic it suggested to do a sudo dpkg --configure -a but it couldn't do any good the command spawns a few errors

I did apport-collect 2017325 and it couldn't collect data because it couldn't find the package installed any where so i look in synaptic and type in evdi and it only shows evdi-dkms installed plus libevdi0 so why does the command say Package evdi not installed and no hook available, ignoring
