Bug Description
This report applies to eucalyptus in Karmic
In order for the UEC/Eucalyptus to function right after install, the nodes are required to have a bridge device set up to which a physical ethernet device is attached (and, the device needs to be on the same ethernet network on which the cloud front-end systems are connected). In most Ubuntu/Eucalyptus documentation, the name of this device is set to 'br0' by default (this can change, but if it does it should be changed in the documentation as well).
The name of the bridge device should also be used as the default 'VNET_BRIDGE' in eucalyptus.conf for the eucalyptus-nc component.
