Hi Graham, honestly I don't think this is a Ffe, since the new features (such as GTK3) are disabled in debian packaging.

Anyway, let's go for the ffe :-)

This FTBFS locally with the message 'could NOT find BISON'. I happened to have byacc installed which satisfied the build dependency bison | bison++ | byacc | byacc-j | btyacc.
However, it built fine in my PPA so I'll sponsor this upload if we get that FFe.

mmm the alternative dependencies are something I removed and reintroduced soonafter, I might have a look to cmake and or remove them in a future upload :)

thanks for reporting, however I don't think this is worth a debian upload, also because it doesn't trigger any bug (the first alternative is available on all buildd architectures), and because of the freeze.
