I don't think this is wrong in eSpeak. If you think there is an error in eSpeak, please give more detailed information about how you chose the "voice of Portugal".

The eSpeak voice "pt-pt" speaks European Portuguese and the voices "pt-br" and "pt" speak Brazilian Portuguese.

I don't think this is wrong in eSpeak. If you think there is an error
in eSpeak, please give more detailed information about how you chose the
"voice of Portugal".

The eSpeak voice "pt-pt" speaks European Portuguese and the voices "pt-

br" and "pt" speak Brazilian Portuguese.

Does the same happen if you run espeak like this from the terminal?

espeak -vpt-br "This is Brazil"

espeak -vpt-pt "This is Portugal"

I have not had any similar comments from other users.
I need more specific information, including example words which sound wrong, together with the correct Portugal and Brazil pronunciation. If not, I'll close this bug report.

Actually, I can't reproduce this problem; "espeak -v pt 7" and espeak-gui set to "Brazil" give the same result (same for "espeak -v pt-pt 7" and "Portugal").

Can you please try whether you still experience this issue with python-espeak 0.4 and espeak-gui 0.3? (I'm using them with espeak
1.45.04-1ubuntu2 on Ubuntu Oneiric).
