Bug Description
Since the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 the program stops responding while editing the text. It seems to be related to saving the document as it does not occur when I often manually save after entering text and without saving I cannot write more than 5-10 lines of code before it hangs.
I tried this with the Ubuntu version of eric and with the latest release on the website, both with the same results.
Before the upgrade I was also using python 2.7 so it seems to be an issue of one of the modules eric uses, e.g. qscintilla.

This is most likely the autocomplete module in QScintilla. Recommend using the Eric Assistant plugin's autocomplete. See Eric mailing list for a long discussion of this.
