Bug Description

Binary package hint: epiphany-webkit

It seems that the icedtea6-plugin will be ignored by epiphany-webkit in Karmic with system complete up2date.

Sites to test:
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
http://www.heise.de/security/dienste/browsercheck/tests/java.shtml

With firefox it does work well.

Flash (via gnash) does work also so it does not look like there are problems with plugins in general.

I would like to add that epiphany webkit 2.28.0 also ignores java-6 -sun jre plugin in order to show applets in the browser. I have enabled activate java and activate java script but epiphany doesn't show any applet. Firefox 3.5 shows applets in karmic so, it is not the java jre but perhaps a lost link from epiphany to the java file?

As far as I can tell the sun-java6 plugin, totem-mozilla plugin, mozplugger, acroread, mozilla-openoffice plugins all do not work in epiphany-webkit 2.28 on karmic.
