It explains what sidebars are, where to find them, and how to install ." marking as fixed, feel free to reopen if you think that's not enough I think that Ubuntu should come with some installed by default. I'm willing to discuss ideas (wiki? ubuntu-devel?) and volunteer to create some if that would help get them in the package. I can follow documentation as well as anyone, but when I saw that there were no sidebars installed, I honestly gave up on finding out anything else. I think a little extra love from us Ubuntu folks would be icing on the cake.

I think a little extra love from us Ubuntu folks would be icing on the cake. If you want to work on that you are welcome. Setting priority to low because the desktop team has others bugs to fix first and will not work on that one now, we will review patches though ;) Feel free to discuss it on the ubuntu-desktop mailing list if you want. Other way you can comment on that bug but that's not really a place for open discussion rather for discussing patches or changes to do
