Me too, just confirming this.
Workaround:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libgirepository-1.0.so.1 /usr/lib/libgirepository-1.0.so.0

That last "0" should be on the same line, of course.

Just confirming I had this problem, too (Lucid x64), and that olavell's fix worked fine for me as well - thanks!

Fixed in -1ubuntu5.

Changed in epiphany-browser (Ubuntu):

Just to mention this bug is present on Lucid Lynx 10.04 too.
The symbolic link fix given by olavl works fine, but is beyond many less geeky users.
Hopefully it'll be fixed in Lucid before people upgrade to Maverick.

I'm on Lucid too.

The bug affected also me.

This evening I just upgrade my box
(dpkg log:
2010-09-17 22:27:24 upgrade libgirepository1.0-0 0.6.8-1 0.9.3-0ubuntu1~ppa10.04+1
)

And then I could resolv with the linking workaround by olavl.

You need to talk to the maintainers of the PPA you're using then

Me too.

epiphany-browser 2.30.2-1ubuntu1.1 lucid de.archive.ubuntu.com
epiphany-browser 2.30.2-1ubuntu1.1 install ok installed

libgirepository1.0-0 0.9.3-0ubuntu1~ppa10.04+1 install ok installed
libgirepository1.0-0 0.6.8-1 lucid de.archive.ubuntu.com
libgirepository1.0-0 0.9.3-0ubuntu1~ppa10.04+1 lucid ppa.launchpad.net

Is there a way to get this fixed in the lucid/ppa version. The origin lucid empathy version without the date in chat rooms is a litte bit confusing.
