When viewing multiple jpg images, generated by 'motion' (webcam monitoring) software eog is leaking memory, after viewing several hundred images computer starts to slow down.

A few versions of Ubuntu and EOG passed and in EOG v3.8.2 (Ubuntu 13.10) this bug is still there. I have watched a few dozen images in eog and not it is using 1.3 GB of memory! Am I kidding? No! See the attached screenshot.
