[snap] eog cannot access all images on the filesystem

Bug Description

On Ubuntu 24.04: removing deb-eog (sudo apt remove eog) and installing snap-eog (sudo snap install eog)

eog then fails to open local files, for example
# eog ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/firefox.png
produces the attached screenshot with "Failed to open input stream for file". The file exists and can be opened with deb-eog.

To my knowledge, may be solved if you add the personal-files interface to the snap.

But I think that would not solve all the problems, because
# eog /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/firefox.png
would still result in the same error.

Please make the snap eog able to access all local files. It's just not a viable replacement for the deb eog otherwise.

Thank you for your bug report. Indeed the snap confinement restrict access to those locations...
