Enigmail does not detect PGP/MIME signatures inside MIME containers

Bug #986430 reported by Roland Hieber on 2012-04-21

enigmail (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Enigmail 1.4 from lucid-proposed does not detect PGP/MIME signatures if the message itself is encapsulated in another MIME container, which is the case on mailman mailing lists (see attached sample mail). In this case, the OpenPGP pane in the message view (the one saying "Good signature from...") is not visible, but no error is shown either. With the older Enigmail 1.1 (from current lucid-updates), this detection worked well, and the OpenPGP pane with the validity of the signature was shown as expected.

FWIW, it works with inline PGP signatures inside such MIME containers.
