I can confirm this. Installing the enigmail add-on manually (current version 0.95.3 instead of 0.95 used by gutsy) solved the problem for me.

I can confirm this.
Seems to be related to the german locale for enigmail (enigmail-locale-de).

Changing system locale to en_US and starting Thunderbird enigmail is working properly (without german language). Reinstalling the enigmail-locale-de package after upgrading to the latest enigmail addon by installing the XPI package from http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ didn't help.

Just installed latest language XPI pack from http://enigmail.mozdev.org/langpack.html

This works fine! So the current enigmail-locale-de should be replaced by the latest enigmail language pack you can find above.
