I blocked a contact and that same contact is still sending me messages via yahoo IM chat

What more can I say? I see this complaint when I Google the problem. I found one bug report but it was transferred to a similar (but NOT the same bug) and closed.

What?? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/928318 is a different bug. That has to do with being unable to unblock a blocked contact.

This bug report has to do with the "block contact" feature not working in the first place.

 dear see if the service of blocking or unblocking work in empathy than the other will work
the contact is not actually block in empathy who is sending you the messages
