Empathy toolbar is empty when window resized

Just upgraded to Oneiric, and am trying to use Empathy instead of Pidgin, however it presents several issues. One is that there is a plainly visible toolbar area, which contains no items. The toolbar should probably just be hidden, as there is no need for it.

The toolbar in the contacts list window. What do you not understand about that? There is a toolbar area, and there is nothing in it.

This seems to work fine now on Ubuntu 12.04. I suspect it is still an issue on 11.10, though I only have 12.04 available to check with now.

I was able to see this on 12.04 as well now.

It appears the status changer drop-down goes away when the window is resized to the smallest width possible.

This doesn't appear to be a bug in empathy upstrea, it's on our end. First guess would be GTK handling minimum window sizes wrong. This is a regression in a release and I am tagging it as such.
