Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
Release: Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop, x86, Unity
Package: Empathy 2.34
Expected: Open Previous Conversation window for a contact and be able to read through old conversations.
Actual: When the Previous Conversation window loads the old conversations, the window expands continually, to the right. At first it seems to be trying to accommodate a large amount of text, but expansion continues indefinitely. After the expansion had been going for about a minute, the window decoration went away for the entire desktop. I think that means Unity crashed?
This happened several times for me. On a whim, I tried changing the Theme used to present the conversation from Simple to Ubuntu, and that seems to fix the issue. Still seems like a proper fix might be a good idea.

Also experiencing this.
I notice that it begins to happen only when I select the "Conversations" tab and select a contact in the left pane.
After it expands off the edge of the screen, the titlebar of the window displays strange white artifacts; horizontal lines of moving static.
If it is relevant, I have a dual-head setup and am using fglrx.
