Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
In most IRC clients, entry to an IRC channel will populate the contact list with the other connected members of the server, however, currently the list is not populated.
I have checked with XMPP MUCs and the contact list is fully populated.
This is with the Maverick alpha of Ubuntu.
