Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
/away is one of the common IRC client commands that Empathy does not implement. It would be most useful if, in place of or in addition to an /away for IRC Empathy would respect my general away/available status in IRC. In other words, when I use the User Menu applet to set an away status it should carry through to my IRC nick.
This is a wishlist feature, but I think it would improve the consistency of the tool; it seemed like the kind of thing that would "just work" and I was surprised to see that it didn't.
