Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

This is not a bug, but a limitation (whishlist)

Most of the jabber servers request a registration from the client.
The password modification also happens on the client.

Empathy (2.28.1.1), on Ubuntu 9.10, allows me to create a new 'existing' account, but it does not allow me to create a new account on a jabber server.

If I need to create a new jabber account on a server, or if I want to modify an existing account password, I need to use a second IM client (Psy, Pidign, etc.).

Omer, if it's not working on your hand, I don't think it's going to work on mine. This is my production machine. I don't use bleeding edge software. Do you know someone running the 10.04 RC? The empathy package ver. is the 2.30.0.1, so we could be fixed. By the way, do you try to modify your password on ver. 2.30.0.1?
