Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

When making an Empathy to Empathy call/webcam-call the echo coming from the speakers isn't cancelled out, this should be an default option.
This is probably a wishlist-item.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Probably not, I have only tried over the GTalk protocol. There's a echo cancellation option the gmail-plugin for Windows (and it works). So I a Empathy to Gmail call would probably cancel the echo in one direction of the call.
I guess it's a client specific problem. Hope that answers your question?

It so happens that without knowing the existence of this launchpad bug report, I had reported an upstream bug report, so linking it to this bug report.

I don't see anything warranting the "incomplete" status of this bug, so confirming (seems we're >2 users who would like this feature, at least).
