Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Using Ubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from 8.10-9.04-9.10) on amd64

empathy:
  Installed: 2.28.1-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.28.1-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.28.1-1ubuntu1 0
        500 cdrom://Ubuntu 9.10 _Karmic Koala_ - Release amd64 (20091027) karmic/main Packages
        500 http://il.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

While empathy is running in the background, I will sometimes receive notification of new messages received from MSN contacts. But sometimes, messages will be received, and no notification will be shown at all. In a case like this, when I just click by chance the empathy tray icon, the un-notified messages will be displayed, and then empathy will crash.
