Thanks for taking time to report this bug and help make ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and I have been using empathy for IRC for a few days and did not get such crash. Can you please tell us if it was a one time crash that never happened again? Than will be really helpful.

Hello,

I have just tested again and had no crashes.
I tried to test also on Lucid latest Alpha (not Beta 1) but there was no IRC on the protocols list.

Guilherme, IRC is there but not on the initial account setup. so when you have atleast one account set in empathy and you are connected with it. press F4 to open account window and now you will be able to add IRC account. Thanks for the reply please check if this is still an issue in Lucid. Thanks for a quick reply

Hello Omer,

I've just tested on Lucid and I've connected to IRC without problems. This is not an issue anymore.
