Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Whenever I hit the spacebar while typing a message in Empathy (gabble jabber contact) Empathy crashes, making the whole thing rather useless. Sometimes it does take a few attempts to trigger but it's very consistent.

Thanks for your bug report. Please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. By the way, where are those instructions to attach .crash files to the report? that's a bad practice and they shouldn't be attached to the reports instead you need to use apport to send them to launchpad.

The wiki page does not include instructions for Intrepid, please update it at first coming chance.

I can confirm the issue is now fixed for me, I believe the recent update to the enchant package which fixed a crasher in that package has fixed this.
