Bug Description

Everytime I start empathy, I need to enter my account details. Whenever empathy closes and restarts, the information is lost. Currently, every time I therefore import settings from pidgin, and then continue.

Observed behaviour: empathy forgets all account information when closed
Expected behaviour: empathy should remember account information

Could you clarify that statement a bit ? What is an "online accounts

TIA

Hi, bug #1029289 is not a duplicate.

1) I do not have to re-authenticate, I have to re-enter all account info every time.
2) I'm logging on to MSN, not google.

So, could you re-open this bug as a separate issue ? Thanks.

Just to add, I am a new user of ubuntu and empathy. I've logged into my new system 3 times, each time empathy has no idea I had ever entered my account info. Once its up, its cool having all 5 accounts active... But each time I shutdown and login the next day, it treats me like a new user.

Again. I had to reboot my machine after 2 + weeks. Login - all my accounts gone. Not a log to accoutn problem, empathy thinks I am a new user with no accounts - forcing me to enter them all again. I'm close to giving up on empathy.
