Bug Description
Binary package hint: emerald
Hi!
I’ve done recently the upgrade to natty.
Before that, Emerald was running perfectly.
Now, I just can’t launch it!
We I launch it with “emerald --replace &”, bug-buddy launches and make me a bug repport (in attachment).
It display the following message in the terminal:
“Could not attach to process. If your uid matches the uid of the target
process, check the setting of /proc/sys/
again as the root user. For more details, see /etc/sysctl.
ptrace: Opération non permise.
/home/martin/
No stack.”
I’ve thus tried it as the root user.
This time, the message is different:
“32 ../sysdeps/
The file “/proc/
The content of “/etc/sysctl.
Maybe I should set it to 0?
Anyway, the fact is that I can’t use Emerald now.
It’s not really a problem for me since I can use gt-window-
Maybe it’s because conflicts with Unity?
If you want me to add details on this bug, please ask.
Hoping it will be useful,
Martin.

Well, I’m sorry, launchpad does not propose me this other bug, but I think that this bug is in fact a duplicate of bug 733393.
I’ll fix that.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Martin.
