Bug Description
The generated svg file is completely different in pepwheel from ubuntu and the one from Gentoo. I am unsure if it is related with some patches we are applying in gentoo... but in Gentoo I think only the plplot could be related:

Or maybe is one of the patches applied in Debian/Ubuntu :/
As an example, simply run pepwheel -seq ... -graph svg with this file
$ cat pepwheel.seq
>
KWKSFIKKLTKKFLH
The proper svg file in pepwheel run in Gentoo is as the attached one, while in Ubuntu all letters get moved
