Global name 'sig' is not defined

Bug Description

When I try to install ubuntustudio-14.04.3-dvd-amd64.iso from a flash drive the install bombs out with this error, Global name 'sig' is not defined. What is a work around?

How is this related to emacs24?

Could you please copy/paste or transcribe the error output so that we can troubleshoot this? See http://askubuntu.com/questions/425809/where-are-the-logs-for-apt-get for where to look for various possibly pertinent logs.

Setting the bug status to Incomplete; it can be set back to Confirmed once the requested information is made available.
