Bug Description

Binary package hint: emacs23

Starting emacs with options for full screen -fs, full width -fw and full height -fh are not working properly. The outer window in GNOME resizes correctly but emacs fails to properly resize the application filling the window, resulting in white unused areas at the bottom and/or right.

Installation of package wmctrl does not influence this behaviour in any way.

Fixing this bug allows users to start emacs with a maximised horizontally and/or vertically.
