Bug Description
Package: emacs
Version: 1:26.1+1-3.2ubuntu2
Distribution: 19.04 disco.
How to reproduce:
1) Open an empty text file in emacs
2) Type in the following German sentence without the quotation marks: "Wir sprechen von Zustanden in diesem Fall."
3) M-x ispell-
4) M-x ispell-buffer
5) Observe that no spellcheck error is reported. On the contrary, I expect that "Zustanden" be marked as an error and two possibilities be suggested: "Zuständen" (which would make sense semantically) and "zustanden" (as the past tense of "zustehen", though it would make no sense semantically.)
I think that the spellchecking in the background is done by aspell (though I'm unsure).
