2008-10-25 13:16:01 Onkar Shinde description Binary package hint: electric The current debian/copyright file has following two problems which were spotted in review in Debian. 1. Copyright holder 'Sun Microsystems' is missing. 2. License should be GPL v3 and not GPL v2. Please refer to the mail here - http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-java-maintainers/2008-September/017848.html This need to be fixed ASAP. I was initially planning to do a sync. But the package cleared Debian 'NEW' queue just today. So it is too late for sync because there are small changes in debian/control file as well. Off-Topic: Is there anyway we could stop this soyuz madness of eating up package binaries? I really wonder why binary for this package was lost. Binary package hint: electric The binary and source for this package was removed about 1.5 months back. It looks like the remover missed the fact that even though package was orphaned in Debian it was updated in Ubuntu. Please check - https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/electric/+publishinghistory Now only way to get the version back is to sync it from Debian. The 8.07-1 version in Debian is based on Ubuntu 8.07-0ubuntu1. It has cleared Debian 'NEW' queue just today. Also this will fix the issues in debian/copyright file of the 'now non-existent' Ubuntu version.
