Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

I'm on a shared Wlan, so I don't have any right to access the port configuration,
I have an account to internetcalls but i can't get connected to this sip.
I have an account too but the issue is the same : can't get connected to ekiga.net
the message reported by ekiga is that we have to set the network configuration manually, but what if we don't have any access to the network configuration ? should we simply dropped ekiga ? it is not the best solution, Ekiga should not strongly depend on port configuration.

I have tested it both on Maverick and Natty, the issue is the same.
I have no Lan access so I could try it.

If you receive the message about port configuration you are in one of the two following cases:
- either STUN answred too late; try ekiga 4.0.0 which fixes this
- or you are behind a symmetric NAT, and in this case we cannot do anything for you. In this case, a proxy is needed, and ekiga does not have one. Audio proxies exist on Internet. See http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Understanding_NAT/firewall_issues_with_SIP_clients_%28eg_ekiga%29

So closing as WONTFIX.
