Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 with Ekiga 3.2.0.

No reaction at all from my webcam (with the previous Ubuntu version the green light supposed to on and the image shows in the preview area). But in the Video > Device, Ekiga did recognise my webcam as Acer CrystalEye.

With Cheese, Kopete and Skype my webcam works well.

Hi,

Upstream is working on adding gstreamer backend. This might solve the issue (as e.g. cheese works).

Best regards,
Yannick
