At home I have a Gigaset sx762 router with intern SIP-server.
To connect to this SIP-server there are 9 accounts, *1 - *9. The fist two accounts are used for the normal phones but the other can used for computers on the local network.
But Egika doesn't accept usernames like *5!!
It returns the error:

Hello,
I tried to add an account like this with ekiga 3.2 (in Ubuntu Jaunty):
Account name: router
Protocol: SIP
Registrar: 10.0.0.2
User: *5
Password: *5
and the account was accepted.
Wait for Jaunty to be released and hopefully it will work for you too.
Best regards,
Yannick
