Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

At home I have a Gigaset sx762 router with intern SIP-server.
To connect to this SIP-server there are 9 accounts, *1 - *9. The fist two accounts are used for the normal phones but the other can used for computers on the local network.

But Egika doesn't accept usernames like *5!!

It returns the error:

It is not possible to change the username or password on the router.

Hello,

I tried to add an account like this with ekiga 3.2 (in Ubuntu Jaunty):
Account name: router
Protocol: SIP
Registrar: 10.0.0.2
User: *5
Password: *5

and the account was accepted.

Wait for Jaunty to be released and hopefully it will work for you too.

Best regards,
Yannick

Thanks Yannick,

You are right! I tried it on my laptop with Jaunty and it all works correct.
I'll will wait on the official release of Ubuntu Jaunty for my desktop computer.
