Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

ekiga should add support for speex ultra-wideband (32 kHz sampling rate)

ekiga only supports speex wideband (16 kHz sampling rate) and speex narrowband (telephone quality, 8 kHz sampling rate). You can also see here that ekiga only supports these two :

Speex is part of the GNU Project. The Speex designers see their project as complementary to the Vorbis general-purpose audio compression project.

Twinkle has support for speex ultra-wideband (32 kHz sampling rate) see :

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
