Bug Description

Binary package hint: ekiga

Using Gutsy fully updated as of sept. 26.

Ekiga crashes when trying to register an existing or new SIP account. This is significant as Ekiga is the default VoIP application and is useless without the ability to register a SIP account.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open Ekiga
2) If using for the first time, request an account at ekiga.net. Otherwise use an existing account information and set it up in " Edit - Accounts - Add "
3) When the checkbox to actually login to the account is checked, Ekiga crashes. Same happens when Ekiga is started and an existing SIP account tries to register

I tested this on 3 different systems with identical setup, with two different SIP account (from ekiga.net and gizmoproject.com).

I am attaching a backtrace, and the output of ekiga -d 4.

Thanks for your report. According to the trace: "/usr/bin/ekiga: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libopal.so.2.2: undefined symbol: _ZN11PSafeObjectC2Ev" this is a dup of bug 117732 and the fix should be uploaded soon, thanks.
