With an uptodate Gutsy (as of 2çth of September), ekiga (2.0.9-0ubuntu3) crashes at startup :
ekiga: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libopal.so.2.2: undefined symbol: _ZN11PSafeObjectC2Ev
I "completely" uninstalled, then reinstalled ekiga and libopal-2.2.0 : same behavior.
It looks like libopal-2.2.0 should be updated.
yae@t61:/usr/lib$ ls -l libopal.so.2.2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2007-09-30 11:33 libopal.so.2.2 -> libopal.so.2.2.8

All works fine with today's update (30th of September 2007) updating both ekiga and libopal.
