Bug Description

Binary package hint: egroupware

Package: egroupware 1.8.001.20100929
Release: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server

When accessing Egroupware InfoLog module, I get a blank page. Apache2 logs
indicate a segfault. This happens with APC disabled too.

According to Stylite support (Egroupware developpers), it is caused by a bug in
current PHP packages of Ubuntu 10.04 release (PHP5.3.2). They advised to
go back to 5.2.10 or 5.3.3 but neither packages are available for Lucid.

I tried to rollback Karmic packages but couldn4t complete the process due
to Egroupware 1.8.001 dependencies.

This happens in many of the modules, especially in the address book if you have lots of contacts. This make egroupware barely usable on Ubuntu 10.04.

Maybe a backport of php-5.3.3 could help.
Can someone provide it?

Uninstalling php-apc has made a dramatic difference for me. I haven't exercised it for long enough to say whether it is a complete cure. Nevertheless, a proper solution is desirable.
