Bug Description

Binary package hint: egoboo

Characters in egoboo do not appear. Items that they are carrying (or dropped) do appear, as do effects and the surroundings.

My videochipset is Intel 945GM. Beryl is running, but it makes no difference whether beryl/compiz is running or not, and xorg.conf settings such as turning composite on or off also make no difference.

Confirmed!Me too.My chip is Intel 830,Feisty,Metacity,And on Ubuntu 6.10 the problem didn't happen before.

Apparently fixed upstream but needs packaging effort.

Latest release is 2.7.4 It would be very nice to see this package updated and have this bug solved.
