package libc6 2.12.1-0ubuntu10 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

I'm trying to upgrade Ubuntu with apt-get dist-upgrade and glibc upgrade crashes because it cannot find the corresponding locales files from locales package.

eglibc for Lucid is version 2.11.1-0ubuntu7.7. How are you installing
2.12.1-0ubuntu10? Is you /etc/apt/sources.list correct?

Perhaps your Lucid to Maverick upgrade did not go well? It looks like you have a
mostly-lucid system.

Yes of course. The upgrade crashed because of the libc6/locales problem.
