You should not need to enable non standard extension (_BSD_SOURCE or other) to use the IN6_IS_ADDR_ macros defined in RFC 3493 and IEEE Std. 1003.1-2001 (POSIX).

This would be much better reported as an upstream glibc bug, we're certainly not going to deviate locally on something like this.
