Bug Description

After installing Kubuntu 17.10, start-up and shutdown operations are very slow (take several minutes) if "encrypt home folder" is selected during installation.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install Kubuntu 17.10 daily.
2. During the installation, select "Encrypt Home Folder" when entering user account details.
3. Observe: shutdown and startup operations take a considerable amount of time.

After re-installing Kubuntu 17.10 daily without encrypting my home folder, startup and shutdown operations are fast.

Just to add some further information: I have found that if I install without ticking the "Encrypt Home Folder" checkbox, and I then encrypt the home folder post installation (using sudo ecryptfs-migrate-home -u user), then start-up and shutdown operations are normal (quite fast).

I have performed two installs of Kubuntu 17.10 (final) on two separate computers (one laptop, one desktop) with the home folder encryption option, and both have worked fine. Both startup and shutdown are fast, as expected.

This is no longer and issue and can be closed.
