Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in to desktop environment (mounts home directory)
2. From another computer ssh in to computer
3. End ssh session
The desktop environment will now have lost the home directory mount, I can run ecryptfs-mount-private to get it back but most prosesses that were doing something with files in my home directory will need to be restarted to get a usable file handle again.

This has been encountered on two diferent workstations both using ssh and scp.

I'm not sure why I'd not seen this before.
For quite some time I've run private home desktop and then would ssh into that system and use it remotely. Its only after I re-installed it that I've been hit by this.

I'm not sure if I had worked around it in some way before by design or happenstance.

OK,
So I hit similar symptoms and went screaming.
 I was pointed at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/click/+bug/1427264
In my case, I was using the 'rbind' for schroot I wonder if the original bug opener was.

If so, the fix there is to do this:
 /home /home none rw,rbind 0 0
+none /home none rslave 0 0

in the schroot fstab file.

I can't reproduce this bug on 12.04 i386 (ecryptfs-utils 96-0ubuntu3.4) or on Vivid amd64 (ecryptfs-utils 106-0ubuntu1). If you're still experiencing this bug, Eric, please provide more details on how to reproduce the issue and change the status back to 'New'. Thank you!

I don't have the setup I was experiencing the problem on any longer. I could try to recreate it, but that will take some time.
