eclipse splash screen hangs

Bug Description
After updating from 11.04 to 11.10 all my eclipse installations stop working. I also downloaded new one but problem exists.
After clicking on icon or running it from command line splash screen pops up and hangs. When quitting empty dialog screen appears which could not be closed.
When splash is on and try to logout from system then suddenly workspace chooser dialog appears and eclipse starts.
I also try to delete ~/.eclipse dir but it did not help anyway.
When tried to run as root all is working. But I could not figure out what was changed after installation to start eclipse as regular user.
Finally I tried to install eclipse from software center and it works. Only custom installation without root pesmission does not work.
