dvgrab fails to capture from DV camera when it is not connected during boot

Bug Description
When my DV camera is connected when Ubuntu starts, I have no problems with capture using dvgrab. But when Ubuntu starts without DV camera connected and the DV camera is connected just before issuing dvgrab command, AVC works fine, but when I'm trying to capture (by pressing "c" in interactive mode), the DV camera starts to play the video but dvgrab waits and waits and waits.......and is not capturing. After pressing CTRL-C, dvgrab exits and displays "Error: no DV"
