Duplicity appears to have removed lots of files from the backup unnecessarily.

Bug Description

Binary package hint: duplicity

Basically, on running:

duplicity inc -v 8 --encrypt-key=<key> --sign-key=<key> /src/dir scp://dest/dir

I get the following summary at the end of a lot of lines prefixed D

--------------[ Backup Statistics ]--------------
StartTime 1272386761.79 (Tue Apr 27 17:46:01 2010)
EndTime 1272386930.12 (Tue Apr 27 17:48:50 2010)
ElapsedTime 168.33 (2 minutes 48.33 seconds)
SourceFiles 22345
SourceFileSize 6541601987 (6.09 GB)
NewFiles 3
NewFileSize 16952 (16.6 KB)
DeletedFiles 262506
ChangedFiles 0
ChangedFileSize 0 (0 bytes)
ChangedDeltaSize 0 (0 bytes)
DeltaEntries 262509
RawDeltaSize 8760 (8.55 KB)
TotalDestinationSizeChange 5028728 (4.80 MB)
Errors 0
-------------------------------------------------

Which is interesting, as I sure as anything haven't deleted any files from the folder I requested backing up (let alone 262506) and the files duplicity has listed prefixed with a D still exist in the source folder. The DestinationSizeChange is too small to have deleted that many files (unless they are something different).

Can I just check whether it has actually deleted those files or is this an erroneous message I have received above? If not, could this be fixed?

Best,

J
