Binary package hint: duplicity
Basically, on running:
duplicity inc -v 8 --encrypt-key=<key> --sign-key=<key> /src/dir scp://dest/dir
I get the following summary at the end of a lot of lines prefixed D

Which is interesting, as I sure as anything haven't deleted any files from the folder I requested backing up (let alone 262506) and the files duplicity has listed prefixed with a D still exist in the source folder. The DestinationSize
Can I just check whether it has actually deleted those files or is this an erroneous message I have received above? If not, could this be fixed?
