ipconfig -t 60 eth0 takes up 100% cpu

[hal2100]

Sometimes a process appears (ipconfig) and produces 100% cpu load. See also http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9857242

I would report this through ubuntu-bug, but I am unable to file a bug of a root process.

I've hit the same bug. I could resolve it with :

  # sudo update-initramfs -u

The dropbear installation process updates the initramfs. It works great until you uninstall it as it doesn't re-update the initramfs.

The parent process of the hanging ipconfig was /scripts/init-premount/dropbear.
Please, fix it. ,-)
