Bug Description

Binary package hint: drivel

When writing or editing a post in Drivel, for "Category" there is simply a dropdown list that allows the user to select one and only one category to assign to the post. As it is common to assign multiple categories to any given post for various reasons, this is a pretty severe lack of functionality in my opinion, and makes it rare that I can use Drivel for my own posts. I would like to propose adding checkboxes next to each item in that dropdown to allow selection of multiple items.

I have only personally tested this while working with a WordPress blog.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

This bug still exists. The drivel mailing list seems to be inactive. If there is active development, can someone post the site details?

The site is http://dropline.net/past-projects/drivel-blog-editor/, the last drivel announcement was made 2006-08-06.
