Bug Description

Hello, I have been running Ubuntu 10.04 for some time, but recently I have not been able to install upgrades. This has got worse with time. I have therefore tried to upgrade to version 10.10 which appeared as available from the update manger. This has failed a number of times, with a message saying that the system is now unstable
