Bug Description

Binary package hint: binutils

First appeared to fail when upgrading from Karmic to Lucid. After reboot, running Lucid. Tried to use "Update Manager", but "binutils-static" still will not install.

this seems to be a dpkg issue, not a binutils one

affects: binutils (Ubuntu) → dpkg (Ubuntu)

That version is no more supported
