Bug Description

Accidentally installed package matlab-support without prior matlab installation. Could not uninstall. Deleted all associated files manually.

I noticed the 'System Problem' after resizing partitions using gparted. Now I get the 'System program problem detected' pop-up after login on each boot/reboot.

Useful information:
I am using Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS

I cannot get the package version using the command given:
   apt-cache policy pkgname
N: Unable to locate package pkgname

I had Cuda working fine before handling these issues, now I get a cuda error. I also noticed my .bashrc file has been cleared, and believe that to be causing the cuda error.
