Bug Description

sudo apt upgrade fails. Output is as follows...

Reading package lists... Done

I've combed the web for a solution and tried all of the following. None of which have resolved the issue...

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get install --fix-broken --fix-missing
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get update –fix-missing
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get -u dist-upgrade
sudo apt --reinstall mount

sudo dpkg –configure -a
sudo dpkg -r -a

...and resolved on my system.

Searched again recently for the error. Found a recommendation to try

sudo apt install mount --reinstall

Look at what I had tried before as noted in initial bug report. Did not try this.

mount was successfully reinstalled followed by me updating the 215 packages that were pending update since this problem began.

Have now successfully updated packages twice since performing this fix.
